The choice of material is the decision of
the builder and the building inspector to continually put in the right amounts and
the correct type of reinforcing.
Concrete reinforcement includes the use of steel
Rebar, steel mesh and fibers like plastic or fabric to reinforce the tension within
the concrete. All reinforcement material needs the following properties.
The material
must be high in strength,
They must be able to handle high tensile strain.
The reinforcing
material or fibers must bond well within the concrete mixture with outs stop being
compaction of the concrete or forming cavities with in the concrete base stop.
The
thermal compatibility with the concrete must not cause any weakness or flaking of
the structure.
The reinforcement must be up to the amounts of stress caused by the
structure put onto the reinforcement.
May not cause the concrete to become brittle
over the years all to expand or contract causing cracks.

decide to use they may not cause the concrete to become brittle from the oxidization
from the reinforcing material?
